Weird dreams. Random things.
All fragments.

I remember. I don’t remember.
So somber.

|  Overview  |

This triptych, inspired by The Garden of Earthly Delights and stained glass windows, serves as a visual archive of my personal dreams in their original form. While reworking certain scenes might help unriddle the stories, I decided to display all raw materials, disconnected and obscure, to stay true to the dreams.

The objects and spaces occurred are the contents chosen for the dreams in the glass book for their symbolistic role. These randomly arranged nouns are assigned different opacities according to their importance and frequency of appearance in the dreams. The black text blends in on the translucent dark cobalt vellum paper, only noticeable when examined under light.

To reinforce the concept of fragmentation and unintelligibility throughout the project, the title, Nocturnal Medley, is illogically decomposed into three parts engraved on the glass panels. The typeface in use, Thaumaturgy, diffuses an aura of mystery in its eerie shape, further obfuscating the message.

When the triptych is closed, words are overlapped, shapes intersected, dreams veiled.

* The typeface sharing the same concept is in development.
